Performance, durability and efficiency—airports place the highest demands on lighting. Precision, homogeneity and 0% uplight are required for optimum results. ewo recognized the potential of LED technologies for large area lighting at an early stage and was a pioneer in bringing them to the aprons of over 200 airports—from the Arabian desert to Greenland.

At Zurich Airport, the aim was to reduce power consumption and maintenance costs for the lighting, increase reliability and integrate individual control options. The R–System floodlights meet these requirements.
