Body of Light
The former metalworkers at ewo express aspects of materiality, texture and color and, thanks to this expertise, turn highly individual design wishes into reality. From architectural spotlights and streetlights to high-performance floodlights.
Materials and Finishes
When it comes to the nature of the housing, we can express very different aspects of materiality and texture thanks to our craftsmanship expertise. Powder coatings, hot-dip galvanizing or COR-TEN steel are among the classics, as they ensure an elegant and resistant luminaire body.

Colors
Classic black tones such as anthracite or more striking colors such as orange, blue or red tones: Our luminaires can be configured in numerous colors from the RAL palette according to customer wishes and requirements. There is also no reason why several colors cannot be combined on one luminaire body.
ewoECP
ewoExtremeCorrosionProtection is an internally developed corrosion protection process for luminaires that are installed in extreme weather conditions or in coastal regions, for example. The procedure consists of these four steps:
- Corrosion-resistant alloy made from materials with a low copper content,
- pre-treatment as a coating for perfect adhesion,
- ewoProtectiveLayer, a coating developed in-house for maximum corrosion resistance and
- powder coating of your choice

Designer
When developing luminaires, ewo often enlists the creative support of renowned product designers. For example, the Chameleon projector was created in collaboration with GECKELER MICHELS, the if and if round bollards with Moritz Kessler and the F–System, GO and IR pole-mounted luminaires with Jörg Boner.

GECKELER MICHELS
David Geckeler and Frank Michels founded their design studio in Berlin in 2013. They design furniture, lighting, products and spaces, among other things. The design studio focuses on autonomous internal studies, creative direction and product collections.

Jörg Boner
Jörg Boner (*1968) has been designing lamps, furniture and everyday objects in his design studio in Zurich since 2001. His developments constantly challenge conventional production methods.

Moritz Kessler
Moritz Kessler studied design and art at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano and worked in product development at Tobias Grau for several years before founding his design studio in 2014. 2014 was also the year in which his collaboration with ewo began: since then, he has been developing concepts for innovative, functional solutions in formal harmony with ewo's product language and also supports other international clients in the field of industrial design.

Norway Says
The design trio Norway Says helped Nordic design to achieve an international renaissance at the turn of the millennium. Established as a group in 2002 by Torbjørn Anderssen, Andreas Engesvik and Espen Voll, they achieved worldwide fame with their Scandinavian aesthetic. Their furniture and interiors for renowned manufacturers were characterized by complex simplicity—elegant, functional and comfortable products.
Shape of Light
At ewo, every product is designed with the lighting effect in mind. It is this distribution of light that makes the decisive difference and is expressed in the high modularity of ewo optics.
