Long reduced to pure functionality, today it is experiencing a renaissance as an architectural and versatile space. Lighting plays a central role in this: it creates atmosphere, promotes well-being and ensures safe interaction.

By the end of 2026 at the latest, all old models of luminaires in the city of Vienna will have been converted to LEDs. ewo is supplying luminaires for a large part of this conversion, including ewoIndividual and standard products.

As part of the redesign of Jahnplatz in Bielefeld, ewo collaborated with lighting design studio ENVUE HOMBURG to produce 25 handcrafted “night suns.” The outer shell consists of multiple layers of fiberglass, which has been elaborately painted to play with the reflections of daylight.
